I was updating a house that had belonged to a deceased relative, to put it on the market. My goal was to make the house as attractive as possible to sell quickly in an already depressed market. One thing that I did was to replace the cheap, once-white-and-now-dingy berber carpet with prefinished bamboo flooring. I had a handyman contractor working on general house repairs. He had previous experience installing wood flooring (my father-in-law's house), and while he had done an excellent job there, he had never before worked with bamboo. Evidently bamboo requires a different type of glue. Due to my limited budget, I chose to have my handyman install the flooring rather than have a professional installation. This was a mistake. Because my handyman did not remove the residual glue immediately, his later attempts to remove the glue also removed the finish. Although I knew that the floor still needed work, I put the house on the market and had an offer within two days. The offer naturally stipulated that the floor be corrected before a closing date set for two weeks later. Since I needed the work done fast, I called Dalworth Cleaning for help. Mr Hedger of Dalworth Cleaning was absolutely terrific! His inspection revealed that while there were still some glue spots, the problem was really that the factory installed finish had been removed in my handyman's attempt to remove the glue. Mr Hedger worked to remove some remaining spots and refinished the entire 900 square feet in two days. The floor looked absolutely beautiful; a huge difference. Mr Hedger also met with me, my realtor, the buyer, and the buyer's realtor after hours to discuss what had been done to restore the finish. Description of Work: Terry Hedger of Dalworth Cleaning removed residual glue left by my handyman contractor's botched installation of approximately 900 square feet of bamboo flooring, then refinished it. This was done on house updated for market and already in escrow. My Hedger also provided invaluable and HUGELY appreciated customer service and support in meeting with the buyer's realtor after normal business hours to answer questions regarding the floor.

Booked the date online, very easy. Online site gave price estimations that were very helpful. Steve, our cleaner was very friendly, punctual and did a fantastic job exactly as described. The price was higher than we usually pay by about $150. The carpets do look fantastic though, especially considering that they are 16 years old and champagne color. The carpet had a few spots - spilled make up and unknown-tracked-from outside spots. The rep very carefully worked on those spots in addition to overall cleaning. He also focused on high traffic areas. I was happy with the results and the carpet completely dried in about three hours. Technician was on time, thorough and completed in a reasonable time. The carpets were definately much cleaner though I had hoped the edges along wall would have been cleaner, but it is old carpet which had not been cleaned and much ground in dirt especially along edges. Mr. Hale arrived promptly and immediately got started. While he was working upstairs, we were busy cutting a carpet remnant that we had found to fit a section at the foot of the stairs where no carpet was currently installed (only the pad). Jim noticed what we were doing, told us to hold on, ran out to the truck and grabbed a carpet stretcher, and proceeded to install the carpet for us! This was a small thing, but we were very impressed that he would make the extra effort to go beyond his job requirements and help us out. We tried to tip him for his work, and he refused to take it. This company was great to work with. We called the day before they were able to come out for service. They came with everything that they needed and did the work on site. The price was pretty fair for all the work that they did. Everything was noticeably cleaner after they were done. I was completely satisfied with the work performed as well as the finished product. Very smoothly. Quick, efficient, clean work. Mr. Doko went over stubborn spots extra carefully. Description of Work: Mr. Doko arrived promptly. His Dalworth truck has his photo on the side for quick recognition by the homeowner. Also, his truck is clean and in tip-top shape. He looked at the areas to be cleaned, answered questions, gave helpful information, and explained why some stains might not be removable. Next he set up plastic guards on wall corners so the hoses would not damage them. He spread a blanket over our entry hall rug to protect it from any possible damage or dirt. He worked quickly and efficiently. When he was finished, we inspected the work and he explained what he had done. Last of all, he packed up his equipment and made sure there was no mess left behind. All paperwork which required signatures was explained fully.
